Early this morning activists changed the name of streets in the area of Salama from Herzel street to Return street and from Ben-Zvi to Razan Al Najar street. In advance of a memorial ceremony for Razan Al-Najar, a nurse that was shot in her back during the Great March of Return on the Gaza separation fence. The ceremony will take place in the location of Salameh, Razan’s families village from which they were expelled in 1948.

Background: A mass women’s coalition in Gaza has called for support from feminist groups around the world to help end the siege to coincide with a women’s march they will hold marching to the Gaza apartheid fence. Another solidarity march will take place in Haifa today at the same time.
