Protesters gathered in the Ramallah-district town of Bitunia, near the Ofer military prison, to mark the 46th anniversary of the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank, the Gaza strip and the Golan heights. Even before protesters arrived, the IOF sprayed the area with foul-smelling skunk water and took positions inside a residential area. As soon as the demonstration began, soldiers fired massive amounts of tear gas canisters and rubber-coated steel bullets. Several protesters sustained injuries from the rubber bullets while many more suffocated from tear gas. All injuries were treated at the scene by Red Crescent medics.
