Organized by a dedicated group of local Palestinian female activists in Yaffa, and well attended by male activists (as well as Jewish allies), dozens of demonstrators protested recent violence against women in Tahrir square. Protesters held banners calling for a ‘women’s intifada’ and an end to sexual violence.
