Dozens of Jaffa based activists staged a vigil in solidarity with the Palestinians in al-Yarmouk refugee camp in the outskirts of Damascus, Syria. The camp has been under nonstop siege by the Assad regime for over two years, and countless people have been suffering hunger and constant shelling by the Syrian army. A few days ago, ISIS took over the camp, and is currently terrorizing its already vulnerable population, reportedly executing several people. Palestinians in 48 and 67 territories in Palestine, as well as in the diaspora, have taken to the street to protest against the ongoing global complicity and silencing of these atrocities. Activists in Jaffa held their vigil in the local “garden of the Gazans” at the heart of Ajami, demonstrating solidarity with the besieged and terrorized refugees in al-Yarmouk camp.
