Thousands came to pay their respect to Sami al-Ziyadneh, 43, from Rahat, who was killed by the Israeli police on Sunday night during the funeral of Sami al-Ja’ar, shot and killed by police the day before. Al-Ziyadneh died after Israeli police attacked the funeral procession with barrages of tear gas, stun grenades and rounds of live ammunition. Scores were injured, including children and the mayor of the town.
