For the last six years, I have been documenting Israeli oppression in various struggles: the Palestinian struggle, particularly in Nabi Saleh, Billin, Qaddum (for a while), Bitunya and Hebron, as well as the struggle for public housing, the asylum seekers’ struggle and the struggle of the Bedouin community against the Prawer Plan. I am also an active participant in local struggles, in the city of Yaffa , where I live.
Documenting these struggles is hard and expensive. The cost of equipment, travel, and the work hours I sometimes lose (I am a self-employed commercial photographer ) all add up. I don’t usually charge for the use of my pictures and videos and have allowed media and NGOs to use them for free because I want them to be seen and I want the oppression that I document to be exposed to as many people as possible.
Purchase prints of my work and help me continue to document these struggles.

Wall
This building is adjacent to Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem. Although originally slated to be under Palestinian control, Israel annexed this religious site, surrounding it with a wall and turning it into an enclave. This wall separated Rachel’s Tomb from nearby local businesses, causing an irreparable damage to the livelihood of local business owners and their families. Although Israel has been insisting the wall was constructed for ‘security reasons’ the situation on the ground reveals its real aim was political: creating facts on the ground and laying claims to large swaths of territory.
Today, the barrier has disrupted the lives of Palestinian farmers and communities adjacent to it in the West Bank, fragmenting families, separating cultivators from from farmlands, and inhibiting access to schools, medical facilities and so on.
On 9 July, 2004, the International court of Justice at The Hague ruled the wall should be dismantled that that Israel should immediately cease ongoing construction work. However, Israel has consistently refused to abide by the ruling and the wall’s construction, with its concomitant damages, continues to this day.
