About 50 people gathered in Jaffa’s historic Clock Tower Square in a vigil organized by local Palestinian activists. Protesters called for an end to the decade-long siege of the Gaza Strip by Israel, and condemned the continued targeting of unarmed protesters by Israeli snipers. Since 30 March, which marked the first “Great Return March” in Gaza, Israel has shot and killed at least 25 Palestinians and injured several hundreds.
