dozens of villagers from Nabi Saleh marked Christmas under occupation, as they confronted the Israeli army, chanting messages of hope, freedom and defiance. A few of the marchers were also dressed as Santa Clause. The Israeli army, under what seems to be an order to keep their attacks to a minimum, responded with tear gas and a few rounds of rubber bullets. No major injuries reported.

A teenage boy in Nabi Saleh wearing an amulet in commemoration of his best friend, 16 year old Ibrahim Dawood from Dayr Ghassana. Dawood was shot by an Israeli soldier during a demonstration near the settlement of Beit El in November. He succumbed to his wounds two weeks later.
