Israeli activists staged a vigil protesting the Israeli Defense Expo in Tel Aviv. In addition to protesting against the thriving Israeli weapons industry, activists demonstrated the arms sales to South Sudan, where war crimes are being committed against civilian populations. A delegation from South Sudan arrived to Israel ahead of the expo to discuss further arms sales. Also of note, the UK, France and other European countries declines to participate in the expo this year to avoid being perceived as providing Israel with weapons for mass destruction.
