The Israeli army violently suppressed the weekly Friday demonstration in the village of Nabi Saleh against the occupation and land theft. Locals, as well as solidarity activists, marched under the blazing sun from the village’s Martyrs’ Square towards the lands and the spring which were expropriated by Israel and are now being held by settlers from nearby Halamish.
The IDF fired barrages of tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets at demonstrators in an attempt to disperse them. No major injuries reported.
