Israeli activists staged a “die-in” at the main railway station in Tel Aviv to protest the expulsion of African Asylum seekers to a “third country.” Recently, such expulsions have resulted in the killing of asylum seekers in Sudan, Libya and elsewhere. The activists are demanding to grant asylum seekers status and allow them to remain while at the same time attending to social issues in the southern parts of the city, already rife with poverty and under-development.
