On a Friday afternoon, a battalion of Israeli soldiers were using Nabi Saleh as a training ground, practicing several attack scenarios. When the locals confronted the soldiers, demanding the intruders leave their village, the soldiers began to fire barrages of tear gas, rubber-coated steel bullets and live ammunition. In an attempt to target photographers who document them, one soldier directly aimed his tear gas launcher at my body, which is technically contrary to military regulations. At least two Palestinians were injured in these confrontations.
