Aptly called "Friday of the Land," This week's demonstration in Nabi Saleh commemorated Land Day, recalling 6 Palestinians killed by Israeli police in army while protesting land expropriation in the Galilee in 1976. Villagers accompanies by Israeli and international activists, including a Brazilian delegation, marched towards the al-Qaws spring, which was expropriated for the use of the nearby settlement of Halamish. Marchers reiterated Palestinians' right to live on their lands.
The IDF attempted to disperse the marchers using tear gas and stun grenades. No major injuries reported.

On the 80th day of Muhammad al-Qiq's hunger strike, villagers from Nabi Saleh and solidarity activists confronted the Israeli army demanding to release the journalist immediately. Al-Qiq, a journalist from Dura in the Hebron district, was jailed by Israel without charges or trial. Currently, hundreds of Palestinians are held in administrative detention as well. Al-Qiq launched his hunger strike demanding to be charged or released. Israeli court suspended his administrative detention order, but refused to let him be transferred to a Palestinian hospital. In the past few days reports of al-Qiq's deteriorating health have raised concerned in Palestine and in the international community, and thousands of Palestinians have been protesting all over the country calling for his immediate release. 
The IDF attempted to disperse protesters in Nabi Saleh by firing live ammunition in their general direction. The army Also penalized Nabi Saleh residents by closing the main gate connecting the village with Ramallah. No injuries were reported.

Earlier this week, the military imposed a siege on the city of Ramallah and surrounding villages, including Nabi Saleh, which resulted in many cut off from their sources of livelihood, from places of study and work. 
The Israeli soldiers attempted to disperse the march using tear gas and rubber bullets, and targeted three photojournalists at the scene with rubber bullets. No injuries reported.

Villagers of Nabi Saleh marched today demanding the release of Ahmen Manasara, a 14 years old child from Jerusalem who is languishing in Israeli jail, accused of attacking a Jewish settler. Manasara was seriously injured by Israeli police, and a video from the scene shows him lying in a pool of his own blood while a settler verbally abuses him and tells him to "die already." Manasara is merely one among about 400 Palestinian minors in Israel's prisons. Marchers confronted the Israeli army, as the soldiers attempted to disperse them using tear gas and rubber coated steel bullet. One teenage girl was injured from a bullet.

The weekly demonstration at the Ramallah-district village of Nabi Saleh called for international solidarity with the Palestinian popular resistance and the growing numbers of political prisoners in Israeli prisons. The Israeli army attempted to disperse protesters with barrages of tear gas canisters, rubber bullets, and even live ("tutu") ammunition, and also closed the main gate to the village, which serves neighbouring communities and connects them to Ramallah. After the demonstration ended, the soldiers entered the village and fired tear gas at residential homes. One woman was rushed to hospitals to be treated for gas inhalation.
